“Lord Melbourne: Your Highness, there’s your opening if you’ll take my advice…
Prince Albert: Lord Melbourne, forgive me but you seem to have confused me with a member of your club. I am not your drinking companion nor your whist partner. I am the husband of your sovereign. And as such, I will make my own decisions, and I neither seek nor invite your advice. Good evening”
- I am not a big fan of period movies ( I only have this movie because of Emily Blunt ) so this has been left on my shelf, unopened waiting for the day I would sit down and watch it. Today was it. I am not sure how historically correct this movie was but as a movie, I enjoyed it thoroughly. As a period virgin, I’d like to think all other period movies pales in comparison to this. Maybe you’d like to prove me wrong with a better selection? All in all, I love the grace and poise this movie holds. I wished I was there, bowing and waltzing to a gorgeous Emily Blunt.
